I am removing that sentence from my review because you have brought to my attention that it does not serve the point I was trying to make. In fact, I was NOT alluding to any personal attack by Black Amazon, but actually what I percieved to be a personal attack from Ama Lee, the blogger mentioned right BEFORE Black Amazon. I'm sorry for creating any confusion from that sentence.
However, I wish that you would have read on from there - "Feminism has been riddled with infighting since its birth, a somber fact that has stalled many feminist ventures, and to this day threatens to shatter third-wave feminism into infinite, obsolete sectors, fulfilling the 'feminism is dead' prophecy." I understand strong reactions, but see little point to such hostile and irrelevant remarks regarding "endnotes" and my (assumed??) race.
Abby, I'm gonna delete this post. I am not proud of how it came out at all. I appreciate your clarification so much re: Ama Lee and Blackamazon, and I agree with you about that.
As for this:
Feminism has been riddled with infighting since its birth, a somber fact that has stalled many feminist ventures, and to this day threatens to shatter third-wave feminism into infinite, obsolete sectors, fulfilling the 'feminism is dead' prophecy.
I agree, in the general sense, but I think you have more reading to do, because the solution is not for us all to fall in line behind this feminist author or that one. I keep seeing people urge that, but all it's doing is enraging others who've explained over and over again why in this case they cannot do it, why being told to do it feels like a kind of annhilation.
Thank you for being so courteous to me when I didn't extend the same treatment to you--I don't deserve that from you, but I am grateful for it. You've helped me to calm down and quit being such an inflammatory ass.
