That recipe sounds so unlikely, but I can't get the idea of a big onion and cheese bread pudding out of my head. Mmmmmmmm.

I have a five-quart cast iron dutch oven which would probably work just fine.

Yes, a big onion and cheese bread pudding is a very good description of what the taste and consistency is like. And it reheats well too!

We didn't have a five-quart dutch oven so we simply split the recipe in two and put it in two smaller dishes that could do both stove & oven.
